NPC Conference/ Gannongate & Co. with Video

The conference took place today and all were present.

Gannon used a green map to show how red the country is. He goes to a widely publicized event and uses green ink.

Wonkette's site says the most popular question for Gannon from an off-camera audience member after the panel ended. "DID YOU EVER SLEEP WITH SCOTT McCLELLAN?

Just because "journalist" or "reporter" may be a vague concept and we may not be sure where to draw the line is no reason to abandon the concept or deny that some people -- Jeff Gannon, say -- are unambiguously not doing journalism when, say, they plagiarize other people's work, ask questions with false premises, etc., etc., etc. It's just the same as us being comfortable saying that Gannon is bald even though we can't say precisely where the bald/not-bald distinction lies. • Every panelist is introduced with a long and well-elocuted list of credentials, except Jeff "The Boss From Zelda" Gannon who is announced as "I dont think he needs any introduction."

• Gannon claims "no one is safe" after what happened to him.

• Gannon blames other journalists for his predicament.

• Gannon blames "DNC refugees" for his predicament.

• Gannon blames bloggers for his predicament. (MEGA BONUS DRINKS when he singles you out, as in: "Bloggers--even though they DO raise their hands about not considering themselves journalists--are EVIL" [or similar])

  You remember Lt. cmdr. Data.  A more fitting role for him is the crazy scientist in Independence day who gets fucked by Alien Mind control and the President orders him shot.

  Well, I'm pretty safe, since I've never been a gay prostitute or claimed to be a journalist. Still, I suppose those evil bloggers might dig up some dirt about my rebellious junior high years.
