Victims of Boston lash out at Santorum

Thu Jul 14, 2005 at 03:10:26 PM PDT

Santorum's latest creed against Boston has created a firestorm. Now victims of clergy abuse are yelling at Rick" man on dog" Santorum.
Crooks and Liars has the video posted.

Alexa: He's really waiting for quite a large number of people to come up-me being one of them-and smack him and walk away....

Alexa....you're going to tell me it's my fault!
Alexa: ...My parents chose to live in Boston so this is what I deserve? I didn't deserve that.

Santorum has started a firestorm with his moronic rhetoric and I hope he goes down in flames. Just try to imagine the mindset of a man that would say:
"While it is no excuse for this scandal, it is no surprise that Boston, a seat of academic, political, and cultural liberalism in America, lies at the center of the storm."
.
Even the usual apologists have the decency not to defend this dimwit.

What a worthless piece of shit. Values my ass. What an outrage. What an insult to those victims. I suppose he thought they wouldn't expose themselves.

I hope that asshole gets raped.

My teeth aren't white enough for DailyKos, so adios.

  •  Just a thought, but (none / 0)

I will bet that the vast majority of child-abusers fancy themselves Republicans.  I mean, authoritarian, my-way-or-the-highway, keep-it-in-the-closet, kind of guys.

I'd like to see some statistics on this.

    •  I have a similar hypothesis, because I think (none / 0)

this exploitative behavior finds its roots in fear of sexuality, a pre-existing culture of secrecy and sexual abuse, continuous boundary violations as a way of living, fear of homosexuality, and an authoritarian and co-ercive way of relating to others. I do not mean to imply that no abusers are Democrats or liberals, but liberal philosophy has a more developed sense of individual rights and more of a feeling of abhorrence at this kind of interpersonal treatment. (You know, instead of deteriorating into savagery, we liberals tend to offer therapy and understanding.) I would like to stats on it too.

If I ran in to Rick Santorum, I would spit in his face and tell him to go to hell.

  •  Let's think about this...... (none / 0)

Sooner or later Mr. Santorum is going to Boston

Any parent, any responsible self rightous parent, can create usage of Mr. Santorum's rhetoric.

Afterall, "it is no surprise that Boston, a seat of academic, political, and cultural liberalism in America, lies at the center of the storm."

Give Mr. Santorum the storm he evidently desires.

Reality is best served in small portions and only to others.

  •  Um, seat of liberalism?? (none / 0)

Boston is, indeed, home of many liberals.

But this scandal isn't among those liberals.

The boston archdiosesce is among the more conservative groups of Catholic clergy in the USA.

  •  Santorum's right, although I hate to admit it. (none / 0)

After all, Boston once hosted a tea party which ultimately led to a history-altering war, of all things! It's easy to see how such a warped environment would naturally force Catholic priests to become child molesters against their wills.

Well, easy if you're Rick Santorum, I guess. Maybe the rest of us just aren't fondling enough fetuses to be able to grasp the concept.

Hey, that gives me an idea for a new sig line: Fetus fondling - it's a Santorum thing, you wouldn't understand.
