Crooks and Liars changing servers

Tue Sep 20, 2005 at 11:11:21 AM PDT

Hi guys, we changed servers last night and it's taking some time to upload properly. I'm no technician, but the site should be visible now. I'm not sure if I can post anything new right at this moment. I've received hundreds of emails asking what's up. Thanks for the concern. Bravenet was hosting the site and there was a glitch sometime late last night so I decided to move over to the new server. They were very kind and also surprisingly responsive. Nothing of course works perfectly immediately. Hopefully I'll be able to start posting again real soon.

Alexa....you're going to tell me it's my fault!
Alexa: ...My parents chose to live in Boston so this is what I deserve? I didn't deserve that.

Fox News prematurely pronounced the Pope dead

Fri Apr 01, 2005 at 06:19:59 PM PDT

Crooksandliars
has the video
Early this afternoon, Fox News prematurely pronounced the Pope dead. "At 1:23 p.m., Fox News Channel anchor Shepard Smith reported that the pope had died. At least initially, he did not cite sources," the AP reports.
FNC viewers could hear a producer yelling "the Pope is dead." (Side note: Who was the producer?? Shep then tossed to a correspondent in Rome, who said the reports were not confirmed ) An Fox News insider has outed the "Pope Dead" producer as Rachel McEntee. Her voice was heard on the translator's open mic in the audio booth this afternoon. McAntee is an "amateur who doesn't belong anywhere near this big of a story," the insider told TVNewser. The FNCer added that no one is holding Shep accountable for the mistake, because he handles breaking news constantly, and was put in an "extremely awkward position" after McEntee's frantic voice was heard on the air...

The Daily Show/Dino Ironbody-media hero

Thu Mar 03, 2005 at 09:42:35 PM PDT

Crooksandliars
Has the video up now.
It is hysterical. The Daily Show bashes all the conservatives on the take. Of course Guckert/Gannon is the catalyst: Secrets of the New Journalism success.

Create a persona. Make a blog. Conservatives need a strong blog name. If you can't make enough money through traffic, sell your soul to the government. They give us a blow by blow account of how to get to the White House without being a journalist.

Will Jimmy/Jeff try to sue? Will the government try to censor the Daily Show next? Will Powerline take up the cause and make another ridiculous post on behalf of Gannongate? Sorry for the short post. Armando or Kos can edit it.

USA NEXT calls anti-AARP ad just a test for Crazy Liberals

Wed Feb 23, 2005 at 09:24:49 PM PDT

Crooksandliars has the video
Charlie Jarvis, chairmen of USA NEXT appeared on Inside Politics and tried to spin his way out of that disgusting ad.

Woodruff: ...is USA NEXT going to run this ad some more, and why'd you only have it up for one day?

Jarvis: We were testing to see if the left liberal groups would over react and they did. The hypothesis  was that they'd focus on one single, tiny image on one website ..

Woodruff playing along: It worked.

Jarvis: It worked. By the end of yesterday, to show you how crazy the left liberal groups are and that they have a death wish on Social Security. They were literally having people call (pause)television stations all over the country to pull the ad that didn't exist. Remarkable.

His rational that a scathing reaction to a sickening ad is a "death wish" is ludicrous. That death wish will ultimatley rest on the head of Jarvis, and USA NEXT.
